Sveta Griffin found a “place of belonging and acceptance and a group of people who lived out the teachings and love of Jesus” at Glendale and we are SO thankful that she chose us as her church family!
From Sveta: “I grew up in an evangelical non-denominational church. I never quite fit in. I was not the kind of Christian who could get up early in the morning, have their coffee, do their devotional and then carry on with the rest of the day in their own world. I got tired of seeing people claim that they love Jesus and then turn a blind eye to injustices in the world. And despite having a great love for studying the Bible, I was consistently told that due to the amount of studying I did, I didn’t have a “real relationship with Jesus” and that if I didn’t believe certain things I wasn’t a “real Christian”. In 2020, I almost left the church completely, but then I found Glendale in February of 2022. Glendale immediately felt like home for me – a place of belonging and acceptance and a group of people who lived out the teachings and love of Jesus.“
