What an AMAZING day of worship together as we welcomed Mary Watson (she/they) into our Glendale Family on Sunday, February 6, 2022! Giving thanks to God that she brings her inclusive love + passion into our community – we are truly blessed.

 
From Mary: “I left the church in 2018 when the message of the church, the hypocrisy within clergy, and the church staying silent on issues facing homelessness, the LGBTQ+ community and the rise of violence against people of color did not align with my moral compass or what I had interpreted Christianity to be.

I have spent the last 3 years looking for a church that speaks out on the injustices of the world and actively works towards healing the pain that church has caused marginalized communities for centuries.

I knew from the first service that Glendale was different, in the best ways, and have felt at home since.”
