We are blessed that Josh Landrith decided to make Glendale his home church during worship on January 31, 2021! We are excited to be on this journey of faith + life with you, Josh. Welcome to our beautifully inclusive + justice seeking family that shares God’s love with ALL people – just as they are!
A little background on Josh’s journey with the church: “I grew up in the Christian faith and ended up leaving it due to many things, mainly the problem of suffering in the world and just a general confusion with the way I had been taught to understand God and the Bible. I am thankful for certain aspects of the church environment I grew up in and there are good things I learned there, but there were also other things I was supposed to believe that did not morally feel right to me. I ended up rekindling my faith over the past year and a half or so, discovering an understanding of Christianity that truly reveals a God of love and grace, but I still didn’t think I could ever be a part of a church again because of the tendency churches have to put hard labels on who is ‘in’ and who is ‘out.’
I discovered Glendale while just curiously looking at Methodist churches in the area. Looking at Glendale’s Instagram page made me very fascinated to check the church out. I quickly fell in love with the place, mainly due to their mission towards inclusivity, their open spirit, and their passion for justice in our world. I am excited to join the church and be a part of what’s going on here.”
