Giving thanks to God that Giulio Garner’s first official church home in his life is Glendale! We are blessed by his musical gifts, beautiful spirit and kind soul amongst us. Welcome home, Giulio!
From Giulio: “I was born and raised in Honduras, Central America. I moved to the United States in 2012 to continue my musical studies and am currently studying at Austin Peay to be a Choral Conductor and a Collaborative Pianist.
My life as an immigrant often makes me feel secluded, so I actively started looking for a church that understood the meaning of inclusive community and intentionally lived into it. After many months of visiting churches in the Clarksville area, I decided to expand my search and came across an all affirming and all inclusive church in Nashville, and knew I had to give Glendale a shot. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found a place where I once again feel included, valued, and where my electric energy is welcomed. I miss my family and friends, who are all still living in Honduras, but being able to call Glendale home gives me strength to continue touching the lives of those around me through my music.”
