We celebrated the Baptism of Ashley Shults (she/her) + officially welcomed her into our Glendale Family in worship yesterday! Giving thanks to God for leading her to Glendale to experience our journeys of faith + life together!

A note from Ashley: Thankfully, I grew up in a loving United Methodist church, but throughout college and graduate school, I became disappointed and dismayed with the actions of the capital C church and its followers. I never thought I’d regularly attend, much less join, a church as an adult. But in February of 2020 (pre-pandemic and pre-tornado!), I visited Glendale and the messages of radical love, social justice, and a community where we belong to each other resonated deeply. I knew I’d found my people, and I’m so proud to become a member of a church who does the Work.
