From Karen: “I have not been part of any organized religious community in several years after a very bad experience when my best friend —who happens to be gay—was drummed out of the church we were then attending at the time. I determined from that experience that I would never be part of a group that did not welcome all. I felt very at home the first time I visited Glendale. I feel like this is where I am supposed to be and want to be an active participant in this church family.“
