Weddings at Glendale

We are excited that you are considering Glendale United Methodist Church to be the venue for your wedding. The Sanctuary at Glendale seats approximately 140 people. We welcome member & non-member weddings at Glendale.

MARRIAGE EQUALITY

Glendale is an official Reconciling Ministries Network congregation and has a long history of supporting LGBTQ rights for marriage equality in the church. We open our sanctuary to all couples seeking the blessing of marriage, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.

Deposits and Fees

The fee is $500 for use of the Sanctuary at Glendale for a wedding rehearsal and ceremony. An additional $300 covers the use of the kitchen and fellowship hall if your reception is held at Glendale. These fees also include rooms that are used for dressing of the bride, groom and the wedding party. A $50 deposit will hold your chosen date along with your wedding application.

Scheduling a Wedding

Contact our Pastor, Rev. Steph Dodge, to inquire to see if your preferred date is available. Our wedding coordinator or pastor will contact you to confirm availability. The date will only be held when we receive the wedding application and $50 deposit (non-refundable).
Once we confirm your desired date, we will ask you to complete a wedding application. You will then receive an email confirming that we received your application and booked your date. The wedding coordinator or pastor will set up a meeting (in person or on Zoom) to discuss initial wedding details.
All couples must complete an approved premarital counseling course before marriage. Bring a copy of your course completion certificate to your meeting with the wedding coordinator or pastor. Glendale’s pastor can provide this if that would be helpful for you. Get in touch for more details.
One month prior to your wedding, our coordinator or pastor will meet with you to discuss final details, including ceremony specifics, decorations, production needs.
