Our own El Woodroof has turned their passion into ministry. They is leading a campaign to collect 500 new and gently used gloves for homeless LGBTQ youth in the Nashville Area!

Help us make a difference in the lives of the homeless youth in Nashville. We partner with Nashville Launch Pad which is a volunteer-based initiative striving to provide street free sleep to youth between the ages of 18-24 with a focus on being affirming and welcoming to LGBTQ youth.

There are three easy ways to help!

Drop off new or gently used pairs of gloves
at the church (there is a box on the covered front porch) or send in a monetary donation and we will purchase gloves with 100% that is received – be sure to mark the donation for gloves. Address: 900 Glendale Lane, Nashville, TN 37204

or an even easier way…

A message from our glove campaign organizer:

Lizzie Woodroof Glendale United Methodist Church Nashville Launch Pad Glove Drive UMC TN

As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, and as a youth, I feel that it is my responsibility to help fellow members of my community whose parents are not as accepting as mine. If I had been in a different household, that could have been me, living on the streets. I don’t want to just sit back and be glad that’s not me. I want to help.

– El Woodroof, Glendale member & glove campaign organizer
